The Martin Dene open day on Sunday the 10th of August 2011 was a huge success. Club members and non members alike came down to the club to take part in a number of activities. Although club coach, Ian Milligan was unable to attend the event due to the Kent Vets final many other people were on hand to help. Tennis leaders Sophie, Alex and Charlie helped out with a number of mini Tennis activities and Peter Brandstetter was able to give out free coaching lessons to numerous guests throughout the day.

Also, visitors were able to take part in doubles sets with club members and take part in the 'fastest serve' competitions. Throughout the day free BBQ food was on offer to guests and the club shops prices were greatly reduced.

The day was a great success and it is hoped that further open days will take place in 2012 and beyond.
